In order to manage excessive heat in periods of high solar gain and reduced energy usage, the heat needs to be safely dissipated to an air heat exchanger or dissipator, specifically designed for this purpose.
A desiccant dehumidifier is another name for a desiccant cooling system designed for use with solar thermal systems. Most desiccant dehumidifiers use solid desiccants, over which warm, moist air is passed. The desiccants absorb the heat and moisture from the air, effectively cooling that air which is sent into the home to handle cooling loads.
